Platform Presents &Ambassador Theatre Group
One of our key priorities at Platform Presents is to champion and nurture rising-star talent. In 2018, we founded The Platform Presents Playwright's Prize; a competition in which we put the call out for new writing to be sent in from far and wide. We read each and every submission before compiling our 10 finalist plays. They are sent through to our carefully curated panel of industry professionals, who then choose the winning play. We offer mentorship and guidance, refining the script prior to producing the work.
In March 2022, we were thrilled to announce the partnership of Platform Presents and Ambassador Theatre Group, one of the largest live entertainment companies in the world. The prize was re-named “Ambassador Theatre Group Playwright's Prize in association with Platform Presents” with the winning writer receiving a £5,000 cash prize and mentoring support from Platform Presents.
